Food Tips

Do you like salad? I have some tips to keep freshness and deliciousness your favourite food.

#Agar Salad Tetap Segar
Bila ada salad yang tersisa, jangan segera dibuang. Tutup saja dulu wadahnya dengan tisu dapur yang lembap, lalu tutup rapat dengan plastik kemasan atau masukkan dalam wadah khusus yang kedap udara. Simpan di dalam lemari es.
#Mengakali Nanas Sisa
Selamatkan sisa buah Nanas (segar maupun kalengan) dalam freezer. Boleh dipotong-potong kecil terlebih dulu sebelum dimasukkan ke dalam freezer. Manfaatkan nanas beku ini untuk salad buah, tambahkan buah-buahan lain, atau haluskan untuk menjadi smoothie yang lezat. Atau, jadikan es batu dalam cetakan es. Anak-anak pasti suka bila di dalam minumannya ada es batu yang unik ini.
#Manfaatkan Sisa Roti
Buatlah roti sisa menjadi remah-remah atau dalam bentuk potongan-potongan kecil lalu bekukan. Sediakan dua wadah khusus dalam freezer, 1 untuk potongan roti putih dan satunya lagi untuk pinggiran roti yang berwarna cokelat. Dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai topping, tambahan puding lapis, bahan pengisi saat membuat penganan, pengental saus, atau campuran telur orak-arik.
#Segarkan Kembali Sayuran Layu
Agar sayuran hijau dan daun salad tak terlihat layu saat disajikan, rendam terlebih dulu di dalam air dingin selama 30 menit.
#Usir Serangga Pada Sayuran
Tak jarang ada ulat atau serangga kecil lain yang ikut terbawa dalam sayuran yang dipetik langsung dari kebun. Untuk mengusirnya, isi baskom dengan air dingin lalu tambahkan beberapa sendok makan garam. Masukkan sayuran hijau ke dalamnya dan biarkan selama 20 menit. Dedaunan hijau akan terbebas dari pengganggu, karena binatang kecil tadi akan tenggelam di dasar baskom.
#Wortel Tahan Lama
Agar wortel tahan berminggu-minggu, potong segera bagian bonggol dan ekor wortel yang belum dikupas. Lalu masukkan ke dalam wadah kedap udara dan simpan di dalam kulkas.

Have you given a little happines to someone today?

Since October 6th 2008 I left Jogjakarta and stayed at Jakarta to apprentice in PT. Frisian Flag Indonesia. It was a pity, my birthday was November 11th. It means that I had to celebrate my birthday alone this year, far away from my beloved people. But, I got surprise! My roommates in Syantikara Dormitory - Lisa, Siska, Windy, Bertha, Cindy, Neng, Kak Cis - called me by phone together and they were give a greeting for me. Indeed, they were inviting me to pray together. And, we did it! We prayed together, by phone… I think it was sweet and was a greeting that most make an impression to me in my birthday this year. Suddenly, I felt happier than before. But, I appreciate others greetings too, absolutely. For my love, my friends in Syantikara Dormitory, my family, my friends in Industrial Engineering – UGM and my old friends, thanks for your care that makes me happy. So, have you given a little happiness to someone today?
